From 23 to 29 November 2025, teachers from IPSEOASC Alberghiero “Giancarlo De Carolis” (Spoleto), IC Beato Simone Fidati, and Direzione Didattica “Don Bosco” Bastia Umbra took part in a Teambuilding and Critical Thinking course in Valencia, hosted by our partner Esmovia as part of their Erasmus+ experience.
The five-day programme strengthened essential 21st-century skills — creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and leadership. Through theory and hands-on activities, participants worked on conflict resolution, empathy, self-awareness, and motivation, gaining practical tools to bring back to their schools and apply with both students and colleagues.
Two groups from Istituto Omnicomprensivo Beato Simone Fidati are taking part in an Erasmus+ experience from 17 to 30 November 2025, supported by Umbria Training Center and hosted by our partners APDI Group in Granada and NormandieGo in Bordeaux.
In Granada, 20 students and 3 tutors are following a full cultural and educational programme. Students also explore vocational pathways.
In Bordeaux, 13 students and 2 tutors are engaging in a similar immersive programme organised by NormandieGo, combining training, cultural activities, and local discovery.

A group of teachers from Alberini Treviso is in Dublin from 23 to 30 November 2025 for a PNRR training programme organised by InterEducation.
The week includes workshops on innovation and creativity in the classroom, sustainability, CLIL, project-based learning, and an English language training module.
The schedule also features a guided walking tour of Dublin, a lecture on the Irish education system, and cultural visits such as the Rediscovery Centre, national museums, or the Botanic Gardens.

A new English Lab for kids is officially starting this month at Convitto di Spoleto, supported by Umbria Training Center in partnership with La Sorgente.
The first class opened with a fun and interactive Thanksgiving-themed lesson, giving young learners the chance to explore English through creativity and real-life context.

On October 17th, 2025, during the Erasmus Days event held at Agri Relais Il Baio in Spoleto, Umbria Training Center shared the results and achievements of the ROSE Project – Remote Work Skills for Employability.
The project, developed with partners from Ireland, Italy, Poland, and Romania, focused on enhancing key digital and soft skills needed for effective remote work — a growing priority in today’s professional world.
UTC presented the project’s interactive training platform, which includes six complete learning modules, available in multiple languages, covering topics such as communication, time management, digital tools, and emotional intelligence for remote collaboration.
On October 17th, 2025, Umbria Training Center celebrated the Erasmus Days at Agri Relais Il Baio (Spoleto), gathering school principals, teachers, tutors, and students to exchange experiences and reflect on the values of the Erasmus+ Programme.
During the event, UTC presented the PROENGAT Project (2022-1-EL01-KA220-HED-000087660) — completed in August 2025 — which continues to generate a meaningful impact through its online training platform, available in five languages.
The platform features two main modules: one dedicated to the Mediterranean Diet and culinary education, and another to entrepreneurial skills for young professionals in gastronomy.
The presentation received strong interest from members of UTC’s network of hospitality and catering schools, who plan to integrate these resources into their teaching activities.
As part of the Erasmus Days celebrations, our President Francesco Di Giacomo took part in a special event hosted by Istituto Tecnico Economico e Professionale per i Servizi “Casagrande Cesi” in Terni.
The day brought together students, teachers, and institutional representatives to celebrate European values, share Erasmus+ experiences, and discuss future opportunities for international mobility.
Francesco presented the Erasmus+ 2025–2026 programme, sharing insights on new possibilities and growth paths for students and staff.

From 19 to 26 October 2025, UTC strengthened its long-standing collaboration with the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh) through two Erasmus+ VET projects that brought 52 Italian entrepreneurs from the Umbria Region to Crete.
In partnership with Federalberghi Umbria, the training combined academic insight with real-world application, addressing key topics such as marketing, management, sustainable tourism, and climate change.
Thanks to MAICh’s outstanding coordination, participants benefited from expert lectures, institutional visits, and hands-on experiences in agritourism and renewable energy practices.
This initiative once again highlights UTC’s commitment to fostering innovation, international cooperation, and regional development through education and mobility.
After several weeks in Umbria, the Südwärts group from GrünBau gGmbH (Dortmund) successfully concluded their ALMA / JUVENTUS mobility.
Throughout the program, participants combined internship experiences in local companies with outdoor and cultural activities, deepening their understanding of Italian work life and culture.
The journey ended with a certificate ceremony, celebrating not just the completion of their mobility but also the growth, skills, and friendships built along the way.

Umbria Training Center is proud to host its annual Erasmus Days celebration — an essential event that brings together school leaders, teachers, tutors, and students to share ideas, experiences, and best practices in vocational education and mobility.
This year’s theme, “From Values to Vision – Erasmus Leads the Way,” highlights how European values turn into real experiences that empower people and institutions alike.
The day featured institutional greetings, thematic workshops, and an interactive session led by Savino Tupputi (The Coaching Way) on Objectives, Communication, and Motivation, moderated by Francesco Di Giacomo, President of Umbria Training Center.
The event also included live music by Marco Marino – Carla Pucci Quartet and concluded with a networking lunch at Agri Relais Il Baio.
A special thanks to all speakers, institutional representatives, and participants contributing to the continued success of the Erasmus+ Programme in Umbria and beyond.

The fourth and fifth days of the CHERISH International Youth Camp in Spoleto marked the final part of a week dedicated to heritage protection and resilience.
Participants took part in a workshop on resilience tactics and youth engagement, led by AYBU University, and later joined the Heritage Talks, an interactive world café discussion on national experiences in heritage resilience, organised by HITIT University.
The day concluded with a certificate ceremony and a farewell dinner, celebrating a week of collaboration, learning, and cultural exchange.
The following day, participants travelled to Norcia, where they explored the city’s reconstruction process after the 2016 earthquake — a powerful example of recovery and community spirit in Umbria.
Partners of the CHERISH Project gathered in Santiago de Compostela for the third Transnational Project Meeting.
Discussions focused on finalizing WP2 — including the International Comparative Report — and preparing for the upcoming International Youth Camp in Spoleto (13–19 October 2025), hosted by Umbria Training Center.
The camp will feature workshops, visits to Santo Chiodo and Coo.Be.C Laboratory, and hands-on restoration activities.
Partners also explored WP3, planning the two Handbooks and the final Symposium set for April 2026.

On September 15th and 16th, Umbria Training Center hosted the second Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ KA2 ReGENERATE project in Spoleto, Italy.

Last week, partners from Italy, Ireland, Poland, and Romania met online to coordinate the next steps of the ROSE Project, part of the Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnership in the field of Vocational Education and Training.
With the training modules finalized, we’re now ready to begin the translation process into national languages — a key milestone toward making remote work education more inclusive and accessible across Europe.
We’re just one step away from the final conference of the PROENGAT project — and our partners across Europe have been actively engaged in spreading its results and impact.
From Italy to Greece, France, and Spain, the recent Multiplier Events gave voice to the themes that have defined this journey: the Mediterranean diet, sustainable gastronomy, and youth entrepreneurship. Students, educators, tourism professionals, and food enthusiasts all came together to explore the tools, resources, and training modules created throughout the project.

As part of an Erasmus+ experience focused on innovation in sports education, a team from Umbria Training Center had the opportunity to visit and train at the prestigious Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Mallorca, Spain.
The Academy is globally recognized for combining high-performance athletic training with strong academic values, emphasizing discipline, mental strength, and personal development. The UTC team explored cutting-edge teaching methodologies, including holistic coaching techniques, performance analysis, injury prevention, and motivation strategies tailored for young athletes.
This experience allowed the staff to deepen their expertise and bring back valuable insights to enrich local sports and vocational training programmes in Umbria.

Last week, teachers from Il Primo Circolo di Spoleto took part in an Erasmus+ training session in Porto, Portugal, organised by our partner Work Experience Agency.
The training, titled STEAM 4 GIRLS, focused on robotics, science, and technology, while addressing the critical need for greater inclusion of women in STEAM fields.

The project offered a creative and playful introduction to English, engaging children through hands-on activities and the power of imagination. It was an enriching experience, and we are proud to have contributed to making language learning accessible, joyful, and meaningful for these young learners.

On May 9th, Umbria Training Center had the pleasure of hosting the first day of the Second Transnational Partner Meeting of the CHERISH Project in Spoleto.
It was a valuable opportunity to welcome all partners back in person, review the project’s progress, and define next steps for future activities.
In the afternoon, participants visited the Santo Chiodo Restoration Laboratory (Coo.Be.C), where artworks from earthquake-affected areas are preserved. The day concluded with a field visit to Norcia, where partners witnessed the ongoing efforts to rebuild the city following the 2016 earthquake—an emotional and impactful experience closely aligned with CHERISH's mission of cultural resilience.

Over the past few months, the Südwärts group from GrünBau gGmbH Dortmund engaged in internships, cultural visits to Perugia, Rome, and the Cascata delle Marmore, and built meaningful connections during their stay in Umbria.
The GBG Pritzwalk group completed a two-week Erasmus+ internship in hospitality, gardening, and green care, gaining hands-on experience through collaboration with local companies in the Spoleto area.

Our Assistant Project Manager Simone Cecio and Project Coordinator Chiara Giacomaniello represented Umbria Training Center (UTC) at the final Transnational Project Meeting of the Proengat – Promoting Entrepreneurship and Gastronomy Tourism project, held in Nice.
As the project nears completion, this meeting provided an important opportunity to connect with all partners and define the final steps ahead.

From April 4–6 in Antalya, Turkey, the "Massimo Alberini" Institute of Villorba represented Italy with excellence at the Gastro Erasmus International Culinary Competition, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.
Students Yuan Arban, Marco Coletti, and Thomas Grotto, under the guidance of Professor Molin, Professor Faraon and Professor Dal Mas, earned four gold medals in both individual and team categories, ultimately claiming the title of Best Culinary Team in Europe.
Their creations showcased local products, traditional flavors, and creative reinterpretations of regional recipes—demonstrating talent, innovation, and deep cultural knowledge. Congratulations to the entire team on this outstanding achievement.
The Erasmus+ journey of the students from Casagrande Cesi, Terni has come to an end after 8 days of training, cultural exchange, and unforgettable experiences.
On the last day, students and Professor Alessandro Giudici met with Simone Cecio from Umbria Training Center, exchanging thoughts and reflections on the experience.

Day 2 of the ROSE Project meeting was all about financial management, dissemination strategies, and project evaluation. Simone Cecio and Elena Piermarini from UTC guided partners through financial reporting, while TRC detailed the dissemination plan to ensure effective outreach. DGT then led an evaluation session, reflecting on our progress so far.
After a productive day, we explored the stunning city of Krakow with Kasia from Linking Foundation, who showed us some of its most iconic spots. A perfect mix of work and discovery—thank you all for an inspiring session!
